Either way, our skilled and experienced team can help.
Why have facial aesthetics at a dental practice?
In our opinion, there is no better place to undergo facial treatments than with a qualified dentist. We are fully trained clinicians with lots of experience in enhancing appearance through the use of precision techniques. We are also highly regulated and used to offering ethical services in an extremely clean and safe environment. If you compare this to the credentials of some of the establishments who also offer such treatments, it's easy to see why many people are turning to their dentists for this service.
Botox is used to relax the muscles which create the fine lines we develop on our face as we get older. Typical areas where Botox is used are around the eyes ("crows feet"), between the eyes and the forehead where it stops the muscles from creating wrinkles when you frown or smile. The treatment is not instantaneous but takes effect gradually over a period of around a week. You may experience slight bruising around the injection site but this is minor and wears off quickly, typically just a couple of days.
The effects of Botox treatment typically last for around 3 or 4 months and can be repeated safely.
Here at Corner Dental Surgery we offer a range of fillers, each suited to a slightly different application. Dermal fillers contain hyaluronic acid which is a natural product found in the body and gives back lustre and elasticity to the skin, making it appear more youthful.
Fillers can be used to improve:
- Lines around your lips, often caused by smoking
- Frown lines
- Naso labial lines - leading from the corner of the mouth to the nose
- Dimples in the chin
- Definition of the cheeks
- Lip definition, making them fuller and more attractive
- Lines around the eyes - known as "crows feet"
